Our Mission

Vitendo Foundation is a humanitarian and cultural platform that creates opportunities for collaborative work among communities, grassroots organizations, universities, artists, local governments, and institutions through community-based research, education, cultural exchange, art, and collective action. We promote initiatives that strengthen social and environmental justice, shared learning, cultural diversity, and transitions toward more sustainable and caring ways of inhabiting the world.

Who We Are

As a humanitarian and cultural platform, Vitendo Foundation seeks to create spaces for dialogue, shared learning, and collective action across communities, cultures, and territories. We believe that transformative change emerges when different ways of knowing and understanding the world weave possibilities together through horizontal relationships among equals, recognizing that no single form of knowledge holds all the answers. Our work creates spaces where scientific, academic, and technical knowledge can engage in horizontal dialogue with ancestral wisdom, community knowledge, spiritual traditions, and the experiences of everyday life.

Inspired by the need to transition toward more just, sustainable, and caring ways of inhabiting the planet, to value nature and non-human life, and to build more equitable relationships between people and territories, we support initiatives that strengthen community agency, cultural diversity, territorial stewardship, and more peaceful forms of coexistence. Through research, education, art, and cultural exchange, we seek to contribute to processes of reflection, creativity, and collective transformation.
