Tatiana Ome
Co-founder and Co-director
Tatiana completed her PhD at the DPU, focusing on sustainable development and alternatives to development. Her 2017 PhD thesis -An Ethnography of Bogotá’s Ecobarrios: The Construction of Place-based Eco-political Subjects, Subjectivities and Identities is an important resource for this initiative in Bogotá. She is an anthropologist and archaeologist with a Master’s Degree in Anthropology and Archaeology, both from Los Andes University in Colombia. Tatiana has more than 20 years of professional and academic experience in the public sector, academia, the non-profit sector, and multilateral organizations (e.g., United Nations). Her work has covered various topics, including alternatives to development (Ecovillages, Eco-neighbourhoods, transition initiatives), just transitions to post-development, urban anthropology, urban development, cities and migrations, cultural heritage and urban and historical archaeology.
Tatiana has been a spiritual healer, therapist, and alchemist since 2012. She carries out this work through her project, Ta-Om, a sacred healing space founded in 2020 that encompasses the Ta-Om School, where she teaches courses on spirituality and holistic practices; in-person events such as retreats and Circles of Words with tarot and oracle cards; and one-on-one sessions that include Intuitive and Therapeutic Tarot, Spiritual Response Therapy, ancestral release and ancestral lineage healing processes, as well as healing through sacred geometry and crystals.

Rita Lambert, PhD
International Advisory Team
Rita Lambert is an urban development planner and architect with over 25 years of international experience. Her research, postgraduate teaching and consultancy are closely linked and span across various countries, mainly in Latin America and Africa. Her work focuses on environmental justice, urban risk, energy justice, urban regeneration, affordable housing, mapping and participatory methodologies. She undertakes action research, training and capacity building, working closely with communities, NGOs, local and national governments, and local researchers to co-produce strategies towards just urbanisation.

Hairuo Yi
Design and Web Development
Hairuo is a social scientist and urban planner with over 7 years of international experience. Their research sits at the intersection of psychology, environmental justice, and well-being. Web development was a skillset developed during their history of climate activism, community organizing, and research assistantships. They hold a degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin, and are pursuing a master’s degree in Environment and Sustainable Development at University College London.

Andrés Sepúlveda
Co-founder and Co-director
Andrés is a sociologist and urban planner with extensive experience in community-based initiatives, environmental, spatial and social justice, and participatory governance. Throughout his career in academia, international cooperation, the public sector, civil society, and the private sector, he has worked with local governments, universities, and grassroots organisations in Latin America, North America and Africa on issues ranging from informal settlements and migration to territorial development, education, environmental governance, and inclusive planning. He is also interested in the role of art and culture as tools for community engagement and social transformation. His work is grounded in the integration of local knowledge and community perspectives into planning, policy and decision-making processes. Andrés holds a degree in Sociology from the National University of Colombia, a master’s degree in Urban Management and Development from Erasmus University Rotterdam, a master’s degree in Architecture, and a postgraduate diploma in Regional Planning from Universidad de los Andes. He has also undertaken postgraduate studies in Development Studies at the University of London and in Non-profit Management at Western University.

Pascale Hofmann, PhD

Pascale Hofmann is an urban environmental planner with over 26 years of experience conducting research and consultancy work in the Global South and Europe. She has expertise in water supply and sanitation in urban and peri-urban areas, adequate and equitable access to services, the sustainable use of resources, everyday trajectories of the urban poor, and actionable knowledge supporting pathways out of poverty.
